Today, on the 11th of October, our friend and colleague Uladzimir Kavalkin has a birthday. He spends this day at the detention center on Akrestsina Street in Minsk. Like many other brave Belarusians, our friend was arbitrarily arrested. So far we have no further information on what he is accused of. We call on the Belarusian authorities to stop the practice of persecuting activists for the peaceful expression of their opinions and to release Uladzimir and others arrested for political reasons. »

SYMPA-10 completed an educational cycle with the session in Stockholm

On November 26 – 30, 2019 educational project SYMPA-10 with an organizational support of FCG Sweden conducted its final session in Stockholm. During the session the participants learned about political, economic and social spheres of Sweden. They participated in the meetings and visits to the public institutions of different levels. SYMPA’s participants visited the Ministry of Finance, Riksdag’s (Parliament) Research Service (RUT) and the Parliament itself. »
